If
you're interested in finding the best car deals that can be had right
now -
and there are a lot of them in the current climate - then you already
know
that buying your vehicle at auction is your best and smartest bet. What
probably didn't occur to you is that American made cars, those from GM,
Ford and Chrysler - are the best buys in the car world right now. People
are picking up late model Chevy sedans and trucks, Ford SUVs and Chrysler
minivans at less than $2,000 regularly.
The reason is that people are afraid - and rightly so - that our
American
carmakers won't be around much longer. Their woes are all over the news.
People are afraid that nobody will be around to make American car parts
or
service
their car in the future. Let us tell you know that these fears are
unfounded. A cheap F-150 is a good deal - even if Ford hits some rough
patches.
The moral of the story here: You will never find cheaper cars than
right now.
And you will never find cheaper American cars EVER. They are screaming
to
be bought. And there is nothing to be afraid of. These cars are the best
American cars ever made, there just aren't enough buyers right now.
The car market - and the American carmakers - WILL turn around. We've
been through tough times before. In two years, when the automakers
have recovered, your move now to buy a Chevy or Ford will look brilliant.
Who said you can't get a next-to-new car for $1,200? Whoever said that
wasn't living in these strange times. So jump in and make it happen.
See below where we've rated the best online auction sites!
Good,
legitimate car auction sites are out there. You can find huge
bargains, but it will take a little work. Here's how to search intelligently.
When it comes to car auction sites, repo and government, we have
found that
you can indeed find what you're looking for. You can pay 20 cents on the
dollar for your car. To do this, it's best to stick to four sites that
are superior
to the rest. They have more auctions, more cars and more support. They
operate with integrity. If you browse these sites consistently, and if
you
are patient, your car will come around very cheaply within a few weeks,
whether it's a BMW, Toyota or Land Rover - it's out there, trust us.
These four sites are the only ones that deserve
mention and free publicity.
We've rated each - and only included the four that rated better
than four
out of five:
1. Gov-Auctions.org

Score:

Five out of Five.
Put
simply, this is the best website there is for legitimate car auctions.
The interface at this site is very smooth, it's easy to navigate and it
backs
up its claims with thousands of real-live auctions every week. This site
gives you the opportunity to bid online or in person. It supplies the
knowledge and the information you need to dive into the car auction
world and get yourself a superb car for dimes on the dollar.
The best thing about this site is that it lets you view auctions
that have
ended recently so you're able to see what the car you want usually sells
for before you even sign up. This site is also cool because you can see
how many live auctions are going on in your state this week and how
many online auctions are going on in your state right now. Having past
auction data is one of the best tools you can have and this site gives
it
to you from the get-go. This helps you determine good price points and
what you can expect to pay for the model that you are looking for.
Savings with this auction site are typically 70% off of retail,
but can get
higher than that. This site clearly has a pipeline to some of the largest
government auctions around the country. Almost every auction by federal,
state, county and city governments that is snared in this site's database.
2. SeizeCars.com

Score:
Four out of Five.
We
didn't feel like the nicest guy of all time after perusing this site,
but
there is
no doubt that the prices are ridiculously low and that the auctions
are 100% real. Part of us feels bad because most of the vehicles on this
site
were repossessed from owners who couldn't keep up with their payments.
But, you know, when it comes down to it, that's their problem, not yours.
You just want your car cheap as heck.
This
site has great contacts with repossession outfits that work for banks,
car dealers and insurance agencies. The repo firms go out and get the
car,
but the bank isn't in the business of selling used cars, so they allow
the repo
firms to auction them off quickly so the banks can get these vehicles
off their
books and so the banks can get back to what they do best: banking, not
selling used cars!
If
you're okay with the model: Repossessed Cars = Cheap for you, then this
site is awesome. It doesn't quite have the breadth of selection that
Car-Auction.com
has, but it's prices can be even lower in some cases, and
that is to say very low. Good deals abound and auctions are in most
urban areas in the U.S.
3. Car-Auction.com

Score:
Four out of Five.
This site
simply has a ton of cars for auction in a ton of places. Its selection
is marvelous. We were able to find more than 20 Audis
that fit the bill we were
looking for - and that was just in Atlanta. The pricing structure is simple
-
you pay once and that's it. No recurring billing or any other tricks. You
can
get unlimited access - that's access FOREVER, not just one year - for less
than $30. It's one of the best values out there for repo
auto auctions.
The inventory churns regularly at this site. There are repo
auctions,
government auctions and IRS auctions. The savings off of retail often
approach 90%. They update the database inventory daily. Their boat
and motorcycle sections are a bit weak, but their car and truck selection
is outstanding.
Many cars with very low mileage and they all have clean titles, from
what
we have seen. I've found that final auction prices at this site tend to
stay
very low because there are simply so many cars at auction. The volume
here is key. Remember, if the one you're watching has too many bids,
there is always another similar car to bid on. If you're searching for a
truck
at this site, you can use this link: Car-Auction.com
4. GovernmentAuctions.org

Score:

Four out of Five.
This
site is fabulous for repossessed car auctions and government-run
auctions. It's also great, however, for its real estate, boat and tax-seized
property. It's kind of a one-stop shop for all bargains related to government
auctions. we have been able to find a suprising number of homes in our
area
on this site -- all of them selling for 50% or less of their market values.
It's
quite a resource.
The
cool thing about this site is that you get access to all of these different
government databases: real estate, cars, jewelry, boats, computers and
electronics. There is literally thousands and thousands of items sitting
in
government possesssion that you can get CHEAP.
If
you're interested in making a profit on these types of items, this is
the
site for you. When you join, you get access to all of their great databases
of 2,000 federal, state and local government agency auctions in your
state - and hundreds more that are designed just for the Internet!
